After less than three months, Igor Tudor resigned as head coach. Tudor reportedly failed to reach an agreement with the club’s hierarchy on transfer targets this summer. In a short statement on its website, the club wrote: “Lazio announces that today Igor Tudor has resigned from the position of first team manager.
“The company thanks the technician for the job done, wishing him personal and professional happiness. Tudor has a lot of experience in Italian football, because he worked there as a player before turning to management.” However, he did not reach an agreement with president Claudio Lotita and sporting director Angelo Fabiani on the club’s summer transfer targets.

During a nine-year period, he made over 100 appearances for Juventus and also represented Croatia 55 times between 1997 and 2006.
