BRUNO FERNANDES WANTS BUMPER NEW CONTRACT AMID BAYERN MUNICH AND BARCELONA INTEREST

Jun 05, 2024

Bruno Fernandes wants a new contract to stay at Manchester United after interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, while Casemiro is attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League. Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne may follow Casemiro to Saudi Arabia, and Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could go back on loan to Real Madrid for next season.

FERNANDES WANTS NEW DEAL AT MAN UTD
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is ready to commit his future to Old Trafford – but he wants a new contract.
The 29-year-old is interesting both Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but the Mirror reports he is happy to stay.

The paper explains: “Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is pushing for a bumper new contract amid increasing speculation surrounding his future.
“Fernandes, 29, has become the subject of interest from European giants Bayern Munich and Barcelona following news that due to Financial Fair Play concerns, United are open to selling all but three members of their first-team squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“In response, Fernandes publicly stated that he’d be happy to remain at United but only if the club’s new football hierarchy, led by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos colleagues, want him to stay.
“Ratcliffe is said to view Fernandes as United’s best player and although he won’t actively look to sell the 29-year-old, he hasn’t ruled out a sale. Rashford, Casemiro and Sancho would also be available at the right price and the Ineos chairman would look to reinvest.”

KEPA MAY RETURN TO REAL
Real Madrid are ready to bring back Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after the end of his loan spell.
The Spaniard is now back with Chelsea after his loan spell ended, but he has an uncertain future under Enzo Maresca.
The Sun writes: “Kepa Arrizabalaga will seek talks with new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca as he faces up to an uncertain future.
“The Spanish keeper’s loan at Real Madrid is up after he slipped to third in the reckoning behind Ukrainian Andriy Lunin and fit-again Thibaut Courtois.
“Kepa, 29, has just one season left on the world record £72.1 million deal that took him to Chelsea in 2018 but is now at a crossroads.
“There may be a chance of staying in Madrid with No. 2 stopper Lunin unhappy at being overlooked for last weekend’s Champions League final and open to offers to move.
“Madrid would be happy to give Kepa another 12 months with a fresh loan or secure him on a free transfer.”

DE BRUYNE ‘OPEN’ TO SAUDI PAY DAY
The Evening Standard reports that Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne would consider leaving the club.
The 32-year-old is wanted by clubs in the Saudi Pro League, and he is ready to consider any big offers that come his way.
The paper reports: “Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is “open” to a move to Saudi Arabia.
“The 32-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with the Premier League champions and there remains uncertainty over his future at the club.
“Saudi clubs have long been interested in De Bruyne, considered among the greatest players to grace the Premier League, and could offer him an increase on his already eye-watering £300,000-a-week wages.”

CASEMIRO LINKED WITH MAN UTD EXIT AS SAUDI CLUBS CIRCLE
Manchester United’s veteran midfielder Casemiro is linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail names three Saudi Pro League sides who are ready to offer him a huge deal.
The paper states: “The Brazilian has come under huge scrutiny in recent months after a number of poor performances for the Red Devils.
“His future at Old Trafford remains in doubt and he has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
“Casemiro’s time in Manchester looks likely to come to an end this summer after his relationship with the Red Devils took a hit on the day of the FA Cup final.
“Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qasidiy are said to be vying for Casemiro’s signature and will reportedly be back in again for him this summer.
“All three clubs are said to be prepared to offer him a better package than the £350,000-per-week that he earns at United.”
