Jude Bellingham has admitted there is “a lot of negativity” surrounding England, but says the fans in the stadiums are giving the players the “energy” not to “give up” at Euro 2024.
A small part of supporters threw beer at the manager of the club.
“I felt like last game, I was absolutely dead, but you hear them singing, you hear them chanting and you can play at a level that’s not our best, that’s normal, it can happen. “But I think it’s important, when you wear this badge and represent those fans, to not give up, and I think they’re a constant reminder of that.
Bellingham was looking ahead to the draw with Slovakia after admitting he didn’t know who England were to face.
“People will obviously look at Slovakia and think it’s going to be an easy game, that’s definitely not the case.” They will present a different threat, a different type of team to break down.
